There are many advantages to patients receiving health care in their homes. Home health care may offer a patient more privacy, convenience, comfort, shorter recovery time and lower costs.

Home Health is a service offered by Jefferson Community Health & Life which provides ideal services for the homebound person who needs the skilled services of a nurse or therapist.

In order to receive home health, the patient must be under the care of a physician, and may not be in a hospital or nursing home. Home health may be paid through Medicare, Medicaid, private health insurance or by the patient. Specific guidelines must be met for services to qualify for Medicaid, Medicare and insurance reimbursement.
