Vaccinations

Partnership with Blue Valley Community Action

Vaccines help protect children and adults from serious illness — and staying on track matters. Vaccines train the immune system to recognize and fight specific germs, helping prevent disease or reducing severity.

Jefferson Community Health & Life partners with Blue Valley Community Action Partnership to provide immunization clinics that support timely vaccination for families, including guidance on a vaccine schedule for babies and growing children.

Blue Valley offers two types of clinics: outpatient services:

  • Vaccines for Children (VFC) for children 18 and under who have Medicaid or are otherwise eligible
  • Private vaccines for individuals of all ages with private insurance plans (Medicare excluded)

Clinics are offered twice a month, except in December when only one clinic is offered. Jefferson Community Health & Life nurses administer the vaccinations. Blue Valley Community Action vaccine clinics are held in Fairbury at JCH&L North Building, 825 22nd St.

Appointments are required. Call 402.826.2141, extension 3.
