Services
Our Home Health team provides a range of skilled nursing care and therapy-based in home care services, which may include:
- Bathing
- Bowel/bladder training
- Catheter care
- Colostomy care
- Contacts for equipment
- Decubitus care
- Dressing changes (wound care)
- Injections
- Irrigations
- IV therapy
- VRI Connect personal medical alert system
- Nutritional guidance
- Obtaining lab specimens
- Patient and family education
- Physical and occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Sterile techniques
In order to receive home health, the patient must be under the care of a physician and may not be in a hospital or nursing home. Home health may be paid for through Medicare, Medicaid, private health insurance or by the patient. Specific guidelines must be met for services to qualify for Medicaid, Medicare and insurance reimbursement.
