Surgical Services

Jefferson Community Health & Life provides a full range of surgery services—from outpatient surgery and minor procedures to inpatient operations—so patients can receive high-quality care close to home. Our surgical suite includes two fully equipped operating rooms, a dedicated minor procedure room (for colonoscopies, endoscopies, and other minimally invasive surgery procedures), and a four-bay admission and recovery area designed to support safe perioperative care, comfortable recovery, and a fast recovery whenever possible.

Types of surgery and specialty care

A variety of types of surgery may be available through JCH&L and visiting specialists, including:

• General surgery and other minimally invasive surgery options
• Robotic surgery (general surgery and knee replacement surgery)
• Gynecologic surgery and women’s surgical care
• Breast surgery
• Orthopedic procedures such as joint replacement, shoulder surgery, ankle surgery, and carpal tunnel surgery
• Foot and ankle services, including foot surgery and podiatric surgery
• Specialty procedures
• Cataract surgery
• Advanced specialty coordination, which may include referral pathways for neurosurgery or bariatric surgery when needed

Physicians at Jefferson Community Health & Life Fairbury Clinic also perform minor procedures, and visiting specialists provide surgeries (including robotic surgery), colonoscopies, endoscopies, and other procedures at JCH&L.
