Alzheimer’s Disease Caregivers Support Group

This support group is designed for the caregivers, loved ones and family members of those who have Alzheimer’s Disease. This group is offered by the Alzheimer’s Association, Nebraska Chapter. An educational program is presented each month, along with an opportunity to discuss current needs and issues with others who are dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease in their family. While the group is not specifically designed for those who have Alzheimer’s Disease themselves, some families have found the group helpful for their loved ones with Alzheimer’s.

The support group typically meets on the second Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m. in the JCH&L Fairbury Clinic Conference Room. There is no cost and no obligation. Reservations are not required, but please contact facilitator Lana Likens at 402.729.6855 with any questions.

Parkinson’s Support Group

The Parkinson’s Support Group is designed to provide support, education and information for those who have Parkinson’s Disease, along with their loved ones, caregivers or family members. An educational program is presented each month, along with an opportunity to discuss current needs and issues with others who deal with Parkinson’s Disease. This group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. in the JCH&L Fairbury Clinic Conference Room. There is no cost and no obligation. Reservations are not required, but please contact facilitator Lana Likens at 402.729.6855 with any questions.

Cottonwood Hospice Grief Support Series

Cottonwood Hospice offers a Grief Support Series several times each year at JCH&L. The series provides tools and support to those who have lost a loved one. Anyone who is grieving the loss of the loved one in the past year is invited. There is no cost or obligation. Pre-registration is requested for planning purposes.
