DOT Exams

Physical Examination

Physical examinations are available for those who require them for Department of Transportation (DOT) licensure. Physical exams are provided by Rebecca Stroklund, DO, and Rick Blum, PA-C, licensed medical examiners. A Basic Med physical for a recreational pilot can be performed by our licensed medical examiner physician, Dr. Stroklund.

A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months. The medical examiner may also issue a certificate for less than 24 months when it is appropriate to monitor a condition, such as high blood pressure. The medical examiner will furnish one copy of the results to the person who was examined and complete a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
