Audiology Services Return to JCH&L Outpatient Services
Audiology services have returned to Jefferson Community Health & Life Outpatient Services. Dr. Nikki Kopetzky, audiologist with Active Hearing Health, is now seeing patients at JCH&L twice a month. Dr. Nikki has clinics on the second and fourth Thursday each month.
Active Hearing Health offers comprehensive hearing evaluations (including middle ear testing); real-ear measurements to verify hearing aid performance; hearing aid services such as fittings, programming, troubleshooting and repair; Redux hearing aid moisture treatments; ear care including ear wax management, earmolds and custom hearing protection; and tinnitus support and balance/vertigo care.

“We are pleased to offer audiology services once again,” said Erin Smith, RN, chief operating officer at Jefferson Community Health & Life. “Area residents who need hearing and hearing aid assistance will appreciate having help available right here at home.”
A proud Nebraska native, Dr. Nikki Kopetzky has been helping Nebraskans hear better since 2003. Dr. Nikki earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, followed by her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in Philadelphia. Her clinical skills were sharpened over 15 years as Director of Audiology at one of the largest ENT practices in the state, where she treated a wide range of hearing and balance disorders. While serving in that role, she visited JCH&L specialty clinics.
“When I heard there was a need in Fairbury, I was excited to be able to return to JCH&L,” Dr. Nikki said. “On my first visit I was able to reconnect with some patients a had assisted before in Fairbury.”
Dr. Nikki founded Active Hearing Health in 2020. Her special interests include hearing technology, balance assessments, advocacy/legislative affairs, and practice management.
Dr. Nikki is a current board member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), and the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSLHA). She additionally serves on the Nebraska State licensing board for hearing instrument specialists.
Dr. Nikki lives in the Gretna area with her husband, three kids, two dogs, and a cat. You can frequently find her cheering on her kids in their many sports and arts activities.
