Gardenside Annual Car Show Rescheduled for July 2
The fourth annual Nostalgia of Cars Show at JCH&L Gardenside has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The show will be held on 22nd Street in front of JCH&L’s north building (former clinic.) Proceeds from the show will benefit Gardenside residents.
Following the show, the public is invited to stay for entertainment by Bobby Gadoury from 7 p.m. to dusk, and fireworks to follow at dusk. Weather permitting, entertainment will be outdoors north of Cedarwood.
This year’s show was originally scheduled for Sunday, May 17, but a wind storm in Fairbury early that morning necessitated postponing the show.
Registration for vehicles is $20. Pre-registration and “drive-ins” are welcome, as space allows. All types of vehicles are welcome. Awards will be given for Top 10, Judges Choice, and Residents’ Choice. For more information on entries email wayne.franzen@jchealthandlife.org or call 402-729-6848.
Vehicles need to check in from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. that day. The show will be open to the public from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Judging will begin at 5 p.m. and prizes will be awarded at 7 p.m. There is no admission fee for the public. In addition to the car show there will be a raffle, tshirts for sale, and food trucks by DonutNV and Prairie Island Poppers.
