Megan Corbin Begins New Position
Megan Corbin, FNP-C, has started a new position at Jefferson Community Health & Life as a nurse practitioner. She will be staffing the Emergency Room as an Advanced Practice Provider and will be seeing patients in the Fairbury Clinic.
Corbin has been a nurse for 6 years, and has been providing care as a hospital nurse at JCH&L since 2021. The Fairbury native said she has wanted to be a nurse since she was a child.
“Ever since I was little it was what I wanted to do,” Corbin said.
She said she went back to school because she always wants to learn and also wanted to advance her career.
She received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner through Walden University. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
She said she likes providing care in the ER. In the ER, providers never know what might be coming. She said she feels good when she can “Be the calm in someone’s bad day … and help them get through whatever they are going through.”
She said that in addition to serving as a Nurse Practitioner in the ER and clinic, patients might still occasionally see her in a nursing role in the ER or hospital as needed.
Corbin, the daughter of Mitch and Julie Siebe, is a Fairbury High School graduate and has an associate’s degree in nursing from Central Community College. She and her husband, Jacob, also a Fairbury native, came back to Fairbury in 2021. They have two boys, Arlo, 3, and August, 14 months, and are expecting a daughter in October.
With three full-time board-certified family physicians, four board-certified family nurse practitioners, and two board certified physician assistants, JCH&L clinic is accepting new patients and same day appointments are typically available.
