Dux Named JCH&L Fairbury Clinic Nurse Manager
Amber Dux, LPN, has been named Nurse Manager at Jefferson Community Health & Life Fairbury Clinic. Dux has been a dedicated staff member at JCH&L for nearly 15 years. Dux takes the position previously held by Jenn Mau, MSN, RN, CRHCP, who is now Quality and Population Health Manager.
As Nurse Manager, Dux will oversee the clinic’s nursing operations while continuing to serve as Dr. Abby Hanzlicek’s nurse two days each week. She will provide leadership and support to the nursing team, foster collaboration among providers and staff, promote quality patient care, and help ensure JCH&L Fairbury Clinic patients continue to receive the exceptional care and service they have come to expect.

Dux joined JCH&L on November 15, 2011, beginning her career at Gardenside Long-Term Care. In July 2016, Amber transferred to the Fairbury Clinic, where she has continued to grow professionally while developing strong relationships with providers, staff, and patients. Throughout her time at the clinic, she has gained an in-depth understanding of clinic operations and provider workflows while consistently delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
She earned her Licensed Practical Nurse diploma from Southeast Community College in Beatrice in February 2010. She began her nursing career at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, where she spent nearly two years caring for patients recovering from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. This experience provided a strong foundation in complex patient care, rehabilitation, interdisciplinary teamwork, and supporting patients and families through significant life changes.
Dux and her husband, Branden, live on a farm near Fairbury and have four children: Westin, 15; Haylea, 12; Jackson, 8; and Breley, 4.
